3 Next Big Things’ in Design That are Yet to Take Off

Big things that are yet to come are virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence and 3D printing. Virtual reality is for you to be able to play like you are in the game. Its available to play from play station virtual reality and now Microsoft i offering the “mixed reality hololens. VR is a-lot about the gaming and entertainment, there is a basic training space for you to learn how to use the VR. Its available on Samsung’s gear virtual reality to googles cardboard. Artificial Intelligence is different bots that have started to steal jobs. This was features like Siri on a apple device of Alexa on a amazon device. They are devices that are helpful for us to use without having to commutate face to face. 3D printing was a very big thing to be raved about. 3D printing for a lot of people is an exciting invention. 3D printing is exciting because you can work with  making something on the computer come to life and be a actual 3D mode. This is why Vitural reality, Artificial intelligence and 3D printing is the three next big thing in designing thats going to be taken off soon. Im excited to see whats next in the upcoming years.

Reflection 10/12/18

This week was crazy! This week we worked on Illustrator. Monday we worked on chapter two. Tuesday we worked on chapter three. Wednesday we worked on chapter four. Thursday was for us to work on chapter five. With working on the chapters we had to do exercises that there giving with the chapters on my teachers website. The exercises were actually really fun! The one exercise was literally using the shapes we want to make a robot and we could design it however we wanted but the only rule was that we needed to have at least twenty shapes. The face was the best looking part to me and then I felt like it went down hill after that because when Iwas working i couldn’t get the hands and feet to look the way I wanted to without making it look weird to me. It came out nice in the end so i was happy with the outcome. This week was also Sydney’s birthday but I’m more excited because on Monday its my birthday! Next week we are also working in illustrator and we will be working on chapters six, seven and eight I think. I enjoy illustrator and I’m hoping that in the long run I will be certified in Adobe Illustrator.

What Makes For an Excellent Website Design?

The goals of the website design are that to create a unique and creative website that others are going to want to look at. A simple and bland website not only doesn’t attract clients, it doesn’t keep existing clients interested or invite referrals. You need to make sure that you are focused on what the website is based on and that all the content in giving for the information provided. Having a creative logo and good images help with keeping the viewer interested in what type of website they are look at. There are four steps in creating a excellent website. The first one is Don’t plan to fail, if you don’t put in the effort and want the work to look good then it won’t come out good and you won’t be impressed with the outcome. Step two, you need to know your audience and figure out how you are going to grab there attention. Number three, Coding is very important as you begin your web design. Determining what format you will create is important as the technical aspects of website design like coding keep the site running and updated. You never want your code to be out of date. Lastly, Content is key you always need to make sure you are on topic and that your content goes with the the website because if not you will be confusing the viewer.

Reflection 10/5/18

This week was a very slow week and I’m so happy its Friday. In the beginning on the week to start out we had to finish up adobe Dreamweaver web hot spots project. The deadline for the project we were giving was Monday but thankfully we got out date changed until the middle of  Wednesday. We went over the project and my teacher looked over and told me what i could do to improve it for next time. One thing he told me to improve for next time is for two of my pages there was a pricing list and instead of putting bullets I could put a listing price table so it would look more organized and even putting a button to be able to tell them prices with the table leading up to it. Now we are done with Dreamweaver for now. Hopefully one day next week I will be able to take my Dreamweaver Certification. We will be working on Adobe Illustrator. Adobe Illustrator is another program that is like Adobe Photoshop but its a improved software that will make your work look more clear to Photoshop. This week on Thursday and Friday we worked on Lesson 00 and I started lesson 1 Friday.

How to Decide Between Being a Web Designer or Developer

Some myths on becoming a designer or developer is that money. One of the biggest things that people look at is that they think that designers and developers make a lot but its actually depending on what work the work is and the different skills that are always new and making the work better. A lot of people think that becoming a programmer is harder to learn then being a designer.  Some assume that because development involves higher level programming, it will be harder to learn than design. No mater if you are a Designer or a developer they both start at the same place and that would be starting from scratch. They both use a regular basic code, Designer focus a little more on the design and then the developers are all about the coding. For me i feel like i enjoy being able to be the Designer because I’m picking how i want everything to be and if I didn’t have to be the developer. I can work with one and have then make the layout I would like while they are actually making it work into code that would keep me less stressed about making it perfect on my part and be able to get a lot more work done.

Reflection 9/28/18

This week felt so long but at the same time felt so short because for the past two weeks Sydney and i have been working on a project that is a Web Hot Shots project but the company is called pampered pups. For the pampered pups project we were aloud to make our temple any way we choose. For mine i had the navigation bar and the footer both be the same color and for my color i picked blue. I really enjoy the project because i like working in Dreamweaver. The one thing i didn’t like about the project was one of our rules were that we weren’t allowed to change the color of the logo. The logo was red but if it was blue to match my nav bar and foot i think the project would look more together. The red doesn’t fit the most with my blue color skeme and I didn’t wanna do my whole website red because for me i think red looks to overpowering and I like a more settling color. Especially when the project is about puppies for me i wouldn’t think of red because that would make me think that somehow the puppy is bleeding and that’s not what you want a viewer to think of about your website.

Best Practices For Website Footer Design

The function of the foot is to provide additional navigation options to users seeking them out. When people are exploring a website which can be any they usually go straight to the navigation bar to find what they have clicked on that website for if they can not find what they need then they will be doing some scrolling. When scrolling they may think the next best spot to look is in the bottom on the website. There is a lot of different content you can be able to put into your footer. There is the contact information that shows the person that views you site can get more information from you like social media email or a phone number to call. If you don’t wanna have a over con-jested nav bar you can put addition navigations for your website in your footer. If you don’t know a footer is more plain and simple on the website. It usually has the need to stay out but is never to crazy in design because the footer never changes on the pages. You can add a picture to make your footer more creative but usually its a more simple part in the website then everything else.

On Monday we had to work in Dreamweaver relearning all the skills we learned last year. We worked on Dreamweaver using HTML and Mustachio was our practice for HTML. Then we had to do a project that would be graded for our HTML in Dreamweaver and that was a website made called Freeze. Then we learned Bootstrap in Dreamweaver and we did a practice which was called Cake Delight. We had off Wednesday from school because of a Jewish holiday called Yom  kippur. I spent my Wednesday by going to a Bruno mars concert with my 2 bests friends my mom., sister and my friends mom and sister. We took a limo down to the concert!   Then for our next project we will be working on using Bootstrap for the project in Web Host Shots, pamper pups. This project pampered pups will be a project we will be working on for around a two week time span. Sadly we can’t change the logo will be got to on DJ Turntable. I’m hoping that this project isn’t hard that i struggle and I’m hoping that everything works out like i would like. For that to work I will be using Bootstrap in Dreamweaver to complete this project.

Which One, Dreamweaver Or WordPress?

The benefits and the downfalls of Dreamweaver is for benefits its just like another Adobe program called Adobe Photoshop or In Design. Dreamweaver isn’t just like the other programs, Dreamweaver and WordPress both have different tools but they compare to function alike. Dreamweaver is a WYSIWYG editor which is referred to HTML editor. Dreamer weaver writes all the code for you in the background. WordPress can be a very difficult approach. It isn’t a software that you can just use on your computer it runs off a live web server. WordPress is a set of PHP files, that means it includes HTML and handles with CSS. I could say that Dreamweaver is better because in Dreamweaver all you have to do is download the Adobe program. I could also say that WordPress is better because you don’t need to download a program you only need the server but the server could be harder to access. I would say that Adobe Dreamweaver is the better option. From the article they say that WordPress is the better option because after using it for so long you won’t wanna go back because it can be easier to build a site that some people won’t build without WordPress.

Reflection 6/8/18

This week in class was a stressful kinda week. We had a project called DJ Turntable that we had to create by Thursday by the end of class, thankfully my teacher changed it from the end of class Thursday to the end of the day on Friday which was a big help because I still had little effects to work with. For example, I had to put links onto every page to make sure that they worked from the nav bar to the following page in the Dj Turntable website I created. Thankfully I finished in time and all the information was given to me in the booklet or on web hot shots website so all the project was mostly about was how did you wanted the website places and what did you want it to look like when you were making the design. I think the hardest part about the project was that when you start the project you have to make the nav bar and the template and for me I can be really picky about how I want everything to look like so it could make me awhile to do something easy but I make it more complicated than it has to be because that’s just the kind of person I can be like with certain project.
